An explicit second-order bound for Sidon sets and the limit of the fixed-kernel energy method

../

Chen, Haoyu, An explicit second-order bound for Sidon sets and the limit of the fixed-kernel energy method, version 3, 10 October 2026. The Zenodo record shortens the title to An explicit second-order bound for Sidon sets.

Theorem 2.1 states that a Sidon subset of {1,...,N}, with diagonal pair sums included, has size at most sqrt(N) + (2 sqrt(2)/3) N^(1/4) + 1 for every integer N >= 4,600,000. The abstract also describes a limitation for a specified scalar fixed-kernel capacity method, subject to its stated hypotheses. Neither assertion improves the error exponent to the catalog conjecture. Claims of formal checking and referee reports are source-reported here.

The held PDF is version 3, fetched from the public file of Zenodo record 23273526, whose metadata states CC0. Its parent record is 23103979.

Read status. The PDF abstract, introduction and Theorem 2.1 on pages 1–2, and the versioned license metadata, were read. The proof and external verification records have not been checked here.

Bears on. Problem 30: the stated scope above supplies a related result or a limitation of a possible route.
