Central rank bands
The mixed-root coding attempt in the preparation notes suggests assigning a different coherent center to each prime-factor rank. The following theorem rules out keeping complete central-rank families through a fixed power range. It does not rule out carefully selected subfamilies, and gives no resolution of Problem 25.
Theorem
Fix , an unbounded set of positive integers, and arbitrary centers for . Put . Install the class for every squarefree integer such that
Then the full Haar union has measure one. With the original activation , the delayed union has natural density one, and its survivor set has natural and logarithmic density zero.
Distinct ranks give disjoint modulus families, so there is exactly one residue per modulus. Their union admits a strictly increasing enumeration.
A fresh-coordinate certificate
Set . Fix a prime cutoff , and let
For large , . Under Haar sampling of , let count primes for which . Its summands are independent Bernoulli variables of parameters , and
This uses only . That estimate follows from the elementary Euler-product estimates already used in the wiki: the product is between and , and its logarithm differs from the prime reciprocal sum by a bounded amount.
The elementary Bernoulli lower-tail lemma in rank-threshold families states that, for and ,
Apply it with . By (2), its hypotheses hold and for sufficiently large , depending on . Thus
The positive constant does not depend on .
Independently, let count matching primes in . Chebyshev's bounds , for fixed positive and sufficiently large , imply by partial summation
for large . Therefore
The event has measure at least . On this event choose distinct matching small primes and one matching large prime. Their squarefree product satisfies
It consequently supplies one of the installed classes in (1). The certificate uses only prime coordinates greater than .
Infinitely many independent certificates
Choose in recursively. Starting with , choose large enough for (3)--(4) with , and then put . Each event depends only on primes in . They are independent and each has measure at least . The probability of avoiding the first is at most . Their union thus has Haar measure one, as does the full installed union containing it.
Every finite installed union is periodic, and its delayed version differs from it only on finitely many positive integers. Its natural density is therefore its Haar measure. Finite subfamilies with measures arbitrarily close to one are contained in the full delayed union. This gives lower natural density one; the upper bound one is automatic. All uses of periodicity here are for fixed finite families, so no interchange of an infinite union and natural density occurs.
The proof also permits , with a fixed implicit constant: the lower bound in (3) remains a positive constant. It does not show that a positive-density subfamily of (1) retains its fresh-coordinate certificates. Such a conclusion would require a new robustness estimate, not just the complete-family argument.
